Short Description - Scientific Interests:
Konstantinos Moutsopoulos received his PHD from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (France) in 1993. In the time period 1991-1992 he worked at the BRGM Company (Orleans, France). He served in the Greek Army in the time span between 1992 and 1993. In 1993-20013 he worked as consulting engineer in the Hydromanagement Company in Thessaloniki (worked mainly on hydraulic engineering and water management project). In the same time he was Research Associate in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2003 he has been working in the Department of Environmental Engineering of Democritus University of Thrace. (2003-2008 as Lecturer, 2008-2014 as Assistant Professor, 2014 – present as Associate Professor). His research interests include simulation of water resources, groundwater hydraulics and water resources management. He has published several articles in the leading journals of his field of expertise (Water Resources Research, Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Journal of Hydrology, Transport in Porous Media).
