Basic Concepts in Transport Phenomena (Equilibrium and Rate Processes, Fundamental Variables and Units).

Molecular Transport Mechanisms (heat transfer, mass transfer, momentum transfer).

Energy and mass balance.

The Thermal Properties of Matter. The Heat Diffusion Equation. Boundary and Initial Conditions.

One-Dimensional, Steady-State Conduction. Diffusion Mass Transfer. Introduction to Convection. Heat Exchangers.
